Με τον θάνατό της η γιαγιά ΧατζηΧριστίνα αφήνει μια πλούσια πνευματική κληρονομιά στα παιδιά και τα εγγόνια της. Ταυτόχρονα, ένα καινούργιο μέλος προστίθεται στην οικογένεια. Η γέννηση της Χριστίνας οδηγεί ξανά τον Ραφαήλ στη στέγη, για να μην ακούει τη μάνα που γεννά και τη μικρή Αμαλία να μαθαίνει για το μυστήριο της ζωής και του θανάτου.
